Job Description
Sr. Linux & storage Admin
Experience 712 LPA
Location Pune Onsite
Responsibilities:
Install upgrade and maintain Linux based systems such as Red Hat Ubuntu CentOS on onprem as well as Azure Cloud.
Troubleshoot problems with Linux servers running various versions of Linux including Red Hat Ubuntu CentOS on onprem as well as Azure Cloud.
Engage in continuous testing of new Linux versions on onprem as well as Azure Cloud.
Ensure systems always comply with security policies including vulnerability assessment patching and hardening.
Respond promptly to incidents investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties and management.
Manage system changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.
Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability.
Proactive capacity planning and report to Sr. Management
Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks.
Manage Backup/Monitoring/Antivirus/Nessus/Qradar endpoint.
Manage various HA cluster.
Ensure daily/weekly/monthly backup are performed successfully on daily basis.
Documentation Create/Update SOPs and desk side notes.
Exceptionally good written and verbal communication skills
Understand and provide input in designing of the infrastructure with optimized approach.
Operate Storage in main Datacenter and DR site.
Providing operational support of the Dell EMC PowerStore Dell EMC HPE NAS environment.
Create manage and maintain FCIP replications configurations between main site and DR.
Administer and maintain SAN configuration and operations.
Create manage and maintain storage configurations and replication between main site and DR.
Create and manage Storage Pools Volumes Snapshots
Conduct regular performance tuning for the hosted storage system.
Ensure License compliance for Storage and SAN environment.
Work with technology providers to upgrade Storages operating system and Firmware to new versions.
Keep up to date documentation for the storage diagrams and baselines.
Provides system administration and maintenance support on Linux VMware/HyperV Windows and UNIXbased environments in client/server network and data storage capacities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related field
10 years of Linux Admin experience in RedHat CentOS and Ubuntu
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
VMware Certified Technical Associate Data Center Virtualization
ITIL Foundation certified.
8 years of Storage admin experience
Deep knowledge of Dell EMC PowerStore Dell EMC HPE NAS environment
Deep knowledge of SAN Switches and SAN fabric
Good knowledge of storage Replication
Knowledge of sanpshot clone
Certified in Del EMC storage.
Certified in any San switch.
