At US FOODS our CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers start with a base hourly rate of $32.43 per hour. Once component pay begins compensation shifts to a structure based on miles cases and stops with hourly pay provided for any downtime. Main Ingredients of the Job
- Lead with safety at the forefront
- Local and Layover routes available(routes are bid by driver tenure
- Orders are single pallet picked so no digging at deliveries.
- Customer orders are selected on plastic pallets
- For ease of unloading all route trailers are equipped with liftgates
- All routes are dispatched with assigned powered pallet jacks
- Tractors and route trailers are assigned by driver tenure
- All delivery routes start between the hours of 5:00PM and 10:00PM
- 4 and 5day schedules available with consecutive days off
- 5thand 6thday extra work is available with paid incentives
- Perform backhauls and shuttles as required
- Perform all pretrip and posttrip equipment inspections
- All other tasks as requested by management
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80 lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required
- Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops 10 per shift) required
What You Bring to the Table
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience; one year of food service experience preferred.
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language able to hold a conversation to understand highway traffic signs and signals to respond to official inquiries and to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education specific skills function geographic location and other factors as applicable by law. The anticipated pay structure includes a base hourly rate of $32.43 per hour. Once component pay begins hourly pay is replaced with compensation based on miles cases and stops. Additionally hourly pay will be provided for any downtime.
