RN Labor & Delivery Permanent Role Location: Waco TX 76712
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions: - Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
- Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans making necessary adjustments to meet patient goals.
- Build professional therapeutic relationships with patients and families to manage discomfort stress and promote a positive experience.
- Educate patients families peers and community members on healthcare choices and self-care to improve outcomes.
- Regularly assess and document patient and family learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues and community partners to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Delegate and supervise tasks appropriately following up to ensure quality outcomes.
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support patients families and staff in managing care needs.
- Prioritize safety effectiveness and efficiency in patient care.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team supporting growth and recognizing the contributions of peers.
- Promote community service and contribute to the professional development of other nurses.
Key Success Factors: - In-depth understanding of nursing practice standards patient care procedures and nursing laws and guidelines.
- Knowledge of hospital protocols medical terminology disease prevention management and medications (including side effects).
- Strong commitment to patient rights ethics and privacy.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to effectively interact with diverse populations.
- Positive social skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
- Advanced problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems including Microsoft Office electronic medical records scheduling and secure email systems.
Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Texas
- BLS certification (or must obtain within 30 days of hire)
