The opportunity
Job Summary
Southern New Hampshire University is seeking dynamic and motivated students to join the International Student Services (ISS) office as ITeam Members. This role provides a unique opportunity to engage with SNHUs international student community by delivering exceptional support managing specialized content areas and contributing to both large and smallscale events. As an ITeam Member you will gain valuable professional experience while making a meaningful impact on campus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Office and Administrative:
Provide a warm professional welcome to office guests answering inquiries and directing visitors to appropriate resources.
Manage phone email and inperson inquiries ensuring accurate and timely responses.
Maintain the front offices professional appearance and organize shared spaces including the Green Center Living Room.
Record and maintain the ISS visitor log and assist with tracking attendance at events.
Assist students in navigating SNHUs web platforms including mySNHU Brightspace and Service Now Portal.
Take ownership of spreadsheets and data collection projects ensuring accuracy and completeness for reporting and planning purposes.
Support social media planning by creating engaging content for Instagram and other channels collaborating with the Social Media Specialist.
Contribute to writing and editing the monthly ISS newsletter and other communication materials.
Events and Programming:
Collaborate on event planning coordination and evaluation for both large and smallscale events such as the monthly Global Cafe and the International Fashion Show.
Serve as event leads in varied areas ranging from logistics marketing and collaboration with campus partners.
Develop studentled programs from concept to implementation including brainstorming themes designing flyers planning menus and coordinating activities.
Increase event engagement through strategic social media use in coordination with the Social Media Specialist.
Assist in planning and delivering presentations on ISS services and resources to various campus groups.
Support offcampus events including cultural excursions and shuttles if eligible under SNHUs driving approval process.
New Student CheckIn and Orientation:
Actively participate in three checkins and orientations per year (January April August) welcoming new international students and providing essential information about SNHU services and programs.
Copresent with Office Manager during orientation on ISS services programs and mySNHU.
Maintain confidentiality of documents during checkin for immigration document scanning.
Provide a welcoming environment to new students as part of the ISS team during checkin and orientation.
Specialized Content Areas:
In addition to the duties listed above each ITeam Member will take on a specific content area based on interests and skills while also gaining experience across all categories to ensure balanced professional development. These areas include but are not limited to:
Social Media Specialist: Create schedule and analyze content to increase engagement with the ISS community.
Public Relations Specialist: Build relationships with other clubs offices and organizations on campus to grow awareness of ISS services and events. Manage written communications such as monthly newsletters and PowerPoint presentations.
Data and IT Specialist: Maintain spreadsheets analyze data and assist with graphic design for marketing materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
Enrolled as an oncampus student at SNHU.
Punctuality and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities.
Effective communication skills and respectfulness.
Willingness to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Interest in supporting SNHUs international student community.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service.
Knowledge of social media and content creation.
Proficiency in data management and analysis.
Possession of a valid drivers license (optional for offcampus events).
Learning Outcomes/Skills Learned:
Enhanced customer service skills in both facetoface and digital interactions.
Proficiency in event planning and including managing logistics and promoting events.
Advanced understanding of communication strategies and collaborative teamwork.
Practical experience in managing social media and creating digital content.
Deeper familiarity with immigration regulations and how they impact international students.
Increased confidence in public speaking and creating impactful presentations.
Work Hours:
812 hours per week with occasional additional hours for events.
Scheduled shifts between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm with occasional evening or weekend hours to assist with events.

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills qualifications experience and internal equity in addition to relevant business considerations.Part-Time
