The Banquet Houseperson (Food & Beverage Utility Person) contributes to the overall success of the hotel by supporting front of house guest service providing superior customer service and upholding quality standards for Coast Hotels Food & Beverage operations.
Responsibilities:
Handles duties that are routine and straightforward such as clearing and setting tables delivering food & beverages & assisting servers as required.
Adheres to Coast Hotels standards when completing tasks.
Ensures the safety and security of the property other ambassadors and guests when completing tasks.
Stocks supplies and maintains inventory levels to support front of house operations.
Acts as an Ambassador for Coast Hotels including greeting guests making them feel welcome and handling basic inquiries.
Demonstrates a customer service attitude with internal and external contacts
Takes relays and delivers room service orders and closes bills via cash room charge credit and/or debit transactions.
Other duties as required.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Industry specific certifications such as Foodsafe and Serving It Right
Hepatitis A vaccination is recommended
Professional appearance and attitude
Good communication interpersonal and customer service skills

Additional Skills & Performance Behaviours
6 months of experience in a customer service role; food & beverage service experience preferred
Secondary school diploma preferred
Strong time management and organizational skills
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
WHMIS training an asset
Able to work a flexible schedule which includes evenings weekends and holidays
