Job Description

Job Summary:
CaresenseLansdale is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). In this role you will provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them lead fulfilling lives. You will have the opportunity to work fulltime parttime or on an asneeded basis (PRN) and make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve. The job is located in Glenside Pennsylvania and is a parttime floater/PRN hourly healthcare/medical position.

Compensation & Benefits:
This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $17$18 per hour paid biweekly. As a DSP at CaresenseLansdale you will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare insurance paid time off and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities according to their individualized care plans.
Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene meal preparation and household tasks.
Encourage and support individuals in community engagement and participation in recreational activities.
Administer medication and monitor and record any changes in individuals health status.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
Build and maintain positive relationships with individuals and their families as well as coworkers and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Adhere to all agency policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations regarding the care of individuals with disabilities.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist individuals with mobility as needed.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings weekends and holidays.
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
