Job Description
THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel for a global financial services company based in Switzerland. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the legal team by drafting and negotiating contracts and offering strategic legal advice on various transactions. A strong background in M&A is essential for this role with fluency in English required and proficiency in German highly preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support various aspects of transactions including structuring due diligence and coordination of signing and closing
- Advise on a range of areas including stakeholder coordination strategy due diligence and providing specific legal guidance on transactionrelated issues
- Participate in or coordinate due diligence and integration activities
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on transaction documentation and due diligence
- Draft review and negotiate agreements; collaborate with business units and regional legal counsel
- Provide necessary support to the Head of Legal M&A
- Experience working inhouse or at a law firm practicing corporate law in an international setting
- Knowledge and experience managing matters in an international M&A environment with expertise in international corporate and commercial law
- Proven track record of leadership and project management experience
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Excellent drafting communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to navigate nuanced and complex international structures
