Casual EarlyON Child and Family Centres Program Facilitator
Overview
Under the direction of the Program Coordinator the Casual EarlyON Child and Family Centres Program Facilitatoris responsible for: overseeing the daytoday operation of his/her assigned EarlyON Child and Family Centre; working in collaboration with the Principal and school staff to provide a high quality playbased developmentally appropriate program that reflects the needs of the community; ensuring consistent program delivery; providing a family literacy program that focuses on developing literacy and numeracy skills; modeling parentchild interactions; facilitating parenting education that promotes a positive home/school partnership; collecting relevant data; monitoring program registration and attendance and maintaining uptodate and accurate records; providing a nutritious snack daily to the children attending the program; and providing a welcoming safe nurturing inclusive positive and respectful environment that recognizes individual differences.
Qualifications and Required Knowledge/Education
These skills would normally be acquired through completion of a twoyear community college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators is required and a minimum of two 2 years experience working within a parentchild and/or child care is required. Valid First Aid certification/CPR is required.
Salary Expectations
$20.85 4 vacation pay per hour
