Operationsis comprised of Loan and Deposit Operations. Loan Operations provides operational support to core lines of business by delivering endtoend loan and trade operations services including loan closing servicing and compliance functions. Deposit Operations supports commercial and consumer banking through the delivery of wire and ACH processing item (check) processing debit card services fraud monitoring client onboarding functions and exception processing.
What Youll Be Doing
The Director of Operations Management (Director) provides senior leadership and direction to a major US Operations division which may encompass several large complex or more risk intensive operations departments. The Director will be responsible for the performance and results of this critical division and ensure that the banks strategic transformational and tactical objectives are being met. In addition there is a strong emphasis on effectively running protecting and transforming the bank to support the banks growth and complexity to meet regulatory and risk demands and to meet internal and external client expectations. To be successful the Director must be a strong communicator and collaborator focus on a reliable and resilient production environment to support client demands operate in a wellcontrolled environment with a risk mindset effectively acquire and develop talent embrace diversity and appropriately build relationships and align with enterprise/Canada standards and expectations.
How Youll Succeed
You will provide strong leadership and management that will meet strategic transformational and tactical objectives for the division
You will effectively run protect and transform the division to meet the banks growth regulatory and complexity demands
Measure results to assess performance relative to objectives
Develop and maintain strong reporting to manage the business including KPIs
You will lead and embrace a strong culture that includes an emphasis on communication collaboration process improvement risk mindset operational resilience and being a champion for change
You will ensure daytoday activities are effectively managed including implementing and adhering to policies and procedures
Collaborate effectively with partners across TI&I and internal partners outside TI&I including Treasury Management all lines of business HR and Risk functions
Effectively manage and oversee third party vendors
Acquire and develop talent
Embrace and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion
Build strong relationships with enterprise/Canadian CIBC partners and align with appropriate enterprise standards and expectations
Who You Are
You have 10 years of management experience with the proven ability to manage a team of employees.
You can demonstrate experience in leading an operations function within a large banking organization with extensive experience in risk and control focus in loan operations. .

At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $150000.00 $180000.00 for the Chicago market based on experience qualifications and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
