SALES MANAGER CORPORATE SEGMENTS GROUP MEETING & TRANSIENT
Overview: Highly selfmotivated you enjoy managing and growing existing business relationships but are
especially driven to find and secure new customers for one of NE Calgarys leading hotels. The
Sheraton Cavalier Calgary has an industry leading compensation structure to
reward your talent for securing new customers within the business travel segment.
Responsibilities:
Prospect new and existing accounts to exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation outside sales calls virtual meetings site inspections and written communication.
Prepare correspondence to customers internal booking reports and file maintenance.
Participate in sales meetings training and other salesrelated meetings as required.
Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.
Attend client events trade shows community events and industry meetings; travel as required outside office hours if required.
Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events.
Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends competition and customers.
Facilitate projects and reports as required through the sales coordinator..
Perform all duties in a safe manner according to established safe work practices.
Report any accidents injuries near misses and/or hazardous conditions.
Other related duties as necessary.
Minimum 2 years business to business direct sales including existing account growth and high emphasis on outside prospecting and new account development.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Thorough understanding of the sales process.
Ability to develop and maintain clients and relationships in order to grow account production.
Ability to plan organize and execute effectively and strategically.
Must have own vehicle and be able to travel.
Highly motivated and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Strong prospecting and new account development skills with a measurable record of success.
