What You Will Do:
Our Springdale AR facility employs over 200 employees and provides critical support to the aftermarket operations of our engine portfolio. We are looking for Machinist Technicians/Experienced Machine Operators for 2nd shift. PSD is a clean welllit stateoftheart machining center in a climatecontrolled facility.Overtime opportunity may be available after a period of training.
Pratt & Whitney PSD is an FAA regulated facility and compliance with such rules is a condition of employment.
- Setup and operate conventional special purpose and computerized numeric control (CNC) machines to fabricate and repair metallic and nonmetallic parts.
- Read blueprints drawings manuals specifications to determine machine and setup requirements.
- Setup and prepare includes: set up of fixtures tools attachments and accessories.
- Operator level maintenance of machine and set up documents.
- Use measuring devices like micrometers calipers to ensure specifications are met.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- This position is for 2nd shift. Hours are MondayFriday 3:00PM to 11:30PM. You will receive a shift differential when working on 2nd Shift of 8. All new employees will train on 1st shift for the first 68 months. The 1st shift training hours are MondayFriday 6:30AM to 3:00PM.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- 2 years of machining experience/training to include setup of fixtures tools attachments and accessories.
- Previous experience/training reading blueprints drawings manuals and specifications to determine machining and setup requirements.
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Technical trade school degree in machining.
- 5 years of machining experience.
- FANUC Controller experience.
- Experience with VTL Lathes and/or Mills.

Pratt & Whitney Springdale AR is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportations Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines.
