Community Manager Italy
We are searching for a strategic community management and operations expert to join the International Community team and help grow Reddit outside of the US. As an integral part of the International Community team this role plays a key role in helping Reddit realize its mission: bringing community and belonging to everyone in the world.
As the Community Manager you will be at the forefront of jumpstarting and fostering local communities. You will be an expert of the Italian market proficient in English and Italian and focused on proactive initiatives to build bridges with local volunteer moderators and innovate iterate refine and scale our international consumer playbook. The insights derived from your relationships and experiments will help accelerate our growth in the market.
Responsibilities:
- Gain a deep understanding of the market to identify user and local moderator challenges and market opportunities.
- Iterate innovate and scale the consumer growth playbook by recognizing new opportunities suggesting bold ideas and programs and persuading internal teams to align on new plans.
- Build strategic plans to cultivate recruit educate and grow a local community of moderators (i.e. volunteers who develop maintain and shape the culture of local communities on Reddit). Implement a conversion funnel designed to onboard power users and external creators transforming them into active moderators.
- Communicate quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize and improve the international consumer growth playbook.
- Be obsessive about achieving aggressive goals and outcomes.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data set KPIs and execute impactful community initiatives: leverage data to uncover community and moderator insights that will influence the direction of the local team in the market.
- Work crossfunctionally with Product Community Engineering Marketing Safety and BD teams.
What We Can Expect From You:
- 5 years of community development and project management experience with a track record of communityled projects that have driven business impact.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Italian culture including current events politics customs traditions language topics of interest and taboos.
- Nuanced comprehension of the digital landscape and the cultural intricacies inherent within it including awareness of internet culture specific to Italy and an appreciation for the diverse cultural facets shaping contemporary Italian society.
- Succinct and persuasive communicator: able to collaborate effectively across internal teams local users moderators partners content creators influencers etc.
- Resultsobsessed: demonstrates outstanding and high attention to detail.
- Deep interest in developing and driving projects framing issues and seeking solutions testing hypotheses and iterating on process improvements.
- Proficiency in Italian& English and based in the EU timezone
