As an Senior Principle Engineer of Communications Systems Engineering you will lead a team in the design and development of softwaredefined radio (SDR) payloads spanning all spectrum bands for space applications. In this role you will lead and develop communication system solutions for space applications. Your responsibilities will include:

• Bid and Proposal technical direction
• Project management and systemlevel trade studies
• Requirements development and communication system architecture
• Technical assessments integration and testing
• Verification validation and field support

What You Will Do

• Technical leadership of multiple teams of intermediate and experienced engineering professionals collaboratively setting objectives and strategies to achieve highimpact results utilizing expertise in systems and project engineering.
• Develop and implement new space based products processes and operational plans that will have impact on the achievement of functional results
• Own and develop elements of space datalinks functional strategies and operational goals
• Oversee the of short to mediumterm 12 years) operational plans or projects contributing measurable results that support broader organizational goals with a focus on both people and technical aspects.
• Tackle complex undefined problems by leading investigations into root causes leveraging extensive experience and crossfunctional analysis across sites geographies and products to deliver solutions.
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders including executivelevel leadership ensuring alignment and transparency across the organization.
• Create and implement strategic design approaches for our space datalink solutions.
• Interface influence and communicate with external customers for new potential opportunities

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree 14 years of relevant experience
• Active and transferable Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility is required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Expert or mastery level of knowledge within the space domain
• Expert or mastery level of knowledge of space based research design and development
• Technical leadership experience in bidding proposals and project
• Experience in system level development requirements definition analysis integration and risk mitigation for large projects
• TS/SCI eligible

Qualifications We Prefer

• Hands on experience in communication or RF products
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools (CAMEO) for developing architectures and functional analysis

The salary range for this role is 124000 USD 250000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
