Job Description

At Freddie Mac you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and youll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.

Position Overview:

The Risk Assurance team is part of the 1st Line within the Enterprise Operations & Technology (EO&T) Division at Freddie Mac. Team members on the control testing/QA team are highlyskilled risk management and/or technology professionals with a demonstrated ability to provide valuable risk management and advisory services to Freddie Mac. The team plays a critical role in shaping Freddie Macs approach to managing Information & Technology risk by providing independent objective and valueadded assurance of risk management automation governance and controls.

This role will focus on performing control testing including oversight and review performing data analytics identifying process improvement opportunities and providing risk advisory support for EO&T while working closely with risk partners in the Second and Third Line of Defense.

We provide strong operational risk management knowledge and advice to EO&T and manage risk in line with the 2nd Line of Defense policies and standards with the targeted use of innovative strategies and techniques.

Your Impact:

  • Provide oversight over the IT Risk Associates implementing control and ensure work is completed on time and is performed in alignment with professional standards.
  • Manage the JIRA dashboard and provide updates for senior management on control testing progress roadblocks and control test results.
  • Perform and document work such as procedure development walkthroughs and controls testing in accordance with the risk management standards.
  • Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to our industry.
  • Leverage data analytics and automation knowledge to improve current processes around issue management and risk management.
  • Consult with internal teams on areas of risk related to common infrastructure (e.g. network UNIX databases) and information security (e.g. governance security monitoring threat and vulnerability).
  • Identify and use data sources to drive analytical insights into the technology infrastructure.
  • Support control testing team with handson testing.
  • Maintain technical knowledge through ongoing research and review of industry publications.
  • Contribute to team knowledge by leading teamwide training and knowledge shares.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years working experience. Experience must include a minimum of 4 years in Information & Technology or Information Security including managing a control testing team.
  • 2 years management experience.
  • College degree in Management Information Systems Business Administration with an emphasis in Technology Computer Science Accounting Information Systems or related field preferred.
  • Platform middleware and application audit experience to include experience with the various levels of the OSI model and technologies including Windows Unix and Oracle preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cloudbased tools applications and vendors such as AWS Azure or Google preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of NIST SDLC COBIT ITIL ISO IT General Controls preferred.
  • Preferred CISA CISSP GLEG GIAC CISM.

This position has an annualized marketbased salary range of $138000 $206000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position experience skill set internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
