The Aerospace Corporation is hiring an Enterprise Systems Engineer for the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) in the Enterprise Effects Division (EED). This is an onsite opportunity in El Segundo California.

The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospaces strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs customers and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and spaceenabled capabilities.

As part of the Enterprise Design Subdivision (EDS) the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) drives responsive and comprehensive trades in customer portfolios. Working closely with corporate program offices PAD delivers portfolio decision insights that expand options for senior leaders and accelerates delivery of end effects. PAD integrates expertise system analysis and design capabilities from across the corporation. We are looking for an Enterprise Systems Engineer (Senior Engineering Specialist Enterprise Systems Engineering).

Work Model

This is a fulltime position based in El Segundo CA offering a hybrid work model that combines three to four regular onsite workdays and remote flexibility as the business needs allow.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Provide engineering and analytical support to government customers in the area of portfolio management and systemofsystems engineering
  • Interact directly with Aerospace program office personnel as well as government customers
  • Support the deployment or implementation of existing Aerospace tools and frameworks with government customers
  • Identify new capabilities and enhancements to current capabilities that will better support the customer base
  • Initiate studies designed to solve new technical problems and provide new technical solutions
  • Take initiative to inform management of perceived technical problems and recommend courses of action
  • Lead multifunctional and crossorganizational projects and teams
  • Act as a systems engineering subject matter expert including mentoring junior staff
  • Occasional travel may be required

What You Need to be Successful Senior Engineering Specialist Enterprise Systems Engineering

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering computer science or related applicable technical field
  • 12 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience including multidisciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments
  • Demonstrated leadership of broad multidisciplinary teams conducting technical evaluations of complex systems; cost schedule and risk analysis; portfoliolevel trade studies; and requirements development
  • Experience using model based system engineering (MBSE)
  • Advanced experience in Systems Engineering processes including requirements traceability through entire product lifecycle
  • Exhibit high level of innovation creativeness and initiative
  • Demonstrated experience tailoring System Engineering processes to organizational needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • A current and active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance

  • An understanding of government acquisition research and development processes and practices used in the DoD and IC

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge and skills.
