Lincoln Electric is seeking a Process Improvement Technician for our Euclid OH headquarters. The Process Improvement Technician will be responsible for handson functions within the Consumables Methods Group ranging from the support of daily production operations to the development of new and improved manufacturing processes. This includes a focus on the continuous improvement of safety quality productivity and manufacturing costs.

What You Will Do:

  • Support day to day operations in theStick Electrode productioneither autonomously or as part of a larger support group.

  • Use schematics diagrams written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components equipment or systems.

  • Set up and conduct tests under operational conditions to investigate processes and product designs.

  • Assist with the of Permission Notes to test process changes material changes and new/redesigned products.

  • Gathers maintains formats compiles and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations.

  • Must be able to perform basic analysis of raw data and make decisions based on the analysis.

  • Responsible for safety cleanliness of work area and workmanship while performing assigned duties.

  • Responsible for product quality and productivity resulting from the manufacturing processes.

  • Create and maintain all documentation associated with the manufacturing process.

  • Evaluate assigned Employee Suggestions create Permission Notes and Change Requests.

  • Interact with all departments as required to support Consumable Division initiatives. These include but are not limited to: R&D Marketing Supply Management all production departments QA.

Required Education & Expereince

  • Technician II:Vocational training and 3 years of experience in a relevant work environment is required; or High School Diploma/GED with 5 years experience in a relevant work environment.

  • Technician III:Vocational training and 5 years of experience in a relevant work environment is required; or High School Diploma/GED with 7 years experience in a relevant work environment.

  • Technician IV:Vocational training and 8 years of experience in a relevant work environment is required; or High School Diploma/GED with 10 years experience in a relevant work environment.

  • Continuous Improvement Tier 1 certification is desirable.

  • Must have an indepth knowledge manufacturing processes machines and equipment

  • Must be able to run production equipment where applicable.

  • Must be proficient at Excel Word and Outlook. Must be willing to become proficient in MES SAP PowerPoint MiniTab and other similar software.
