At Eldercare we know that older people in our care want to remain as healthy and independent as possible. The Resident Mobility Assistant is a new role commencing late September that will work closely with our Physiotherapists Occupational Therapists and Wellbeing Consultants to support the mobility and activity of our residents.
You will assist residents to participate in exercise and physical activity and achieve reablement goals. You will spend 1:1 time with residents helping them toaccess spaces within the facility including outdoors. You will support residents to participate in events and activities and engage in important social connection.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have existing working rights in Australia
Possess a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance Health & Leisure or Ageing Support or Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
A genuine passion to provide care that is personcentered
The ability to work individually and in a team
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Enjoy building positive relationships with residents and staff

To work for Eldercare you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (unsupervised contact with vulnerable people) and the clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue.
As per Eldercares Employee Immunisation Policy all Eldercare employees are required to:
Be vaccinated against seasonal influenza by no later than 1 June each year
Be vaccinated against COVID19 as per current ATAGI guidelines
Exemptions on a temporary or permanent basis can only be approved by Eldercares Chief Executive.
