Job Description
BJG Electronicsis the premier domestic and international supplier of electronic interconnect products to all major military and aerospace manufacturers.
BJG is a leading supplier of interconnect and electromechanical products to the worlds leading milaero OEMs serving various markets including defense commercial air test & measurement radar and space. As a valueadded distributor and assembler the company maintains niche capabilities in designing cables harnesses box assemblies and build to print assemblies.
The responsibility of an Expeditor is to ensure the highest possible OTD to customer orders and to ensure that any customer or forecast shortage is satisfied as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
Be the primary point of contact for internal inquiries relating to vendor delinquent parts
Utilize the computer system and reporting system and printed documentation for control and identification of customer order requirements and forecast requirements.
Contacts vendors to ensure that components and parts are supplied on specified shipping date. Contact may be made by email portal or telephone.
May arrange for distribution of materials upon arrival.
Inform the sales and production teams of likely dates for availability of all parts being progressed.
Status product through all stages of purchasing ensuring the urgency is understood by all people involved.
Receive and action specific requests for expediting. Regularly review the outstanding requirements of the customers production and sales.
Where appropriate provide feedback to internal customer requirements.
Other expedite or purchasing support roles such as order acknowledgement and confirmations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Highschool Diploma required
- 12 years of Expeditor experience in the aerospace industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be computer savvy and learn company proprietary software programs
- Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately multitask and work well under pressure with changing priorities
