About The Role

We are seeking a Sr. LabVIEW Developver to design engineer program and implement National Instruments (NI) systems associated with distributed control real time control testing and data acquisition systems.

• Design program and document distributed control and acquisition projects from concept to completion using National Instruments software and hardware including PXIe RIO DAQ architectures.
• Develop modular readable and reusable LabVIEW code ensuring reliability longevity and emphasizing continual improvement.
• Develop engineering tools including desktop and webbased testing applications.
• Ground up integration of complex FPGA code and models into Hardware In the Loop (HIL) systems using LabVIEW opensource hardware and software platforms.
• Integrate medium and highspeed acquisition and control systems.
• Commission and troubleshoot new electromechanical test systems.

About You

• At least 3 years of experience with advanced LabVIEW programming in a scientific industrial or research environment with an emphasis on control or HIL systems.
• Successful development of projects from concept to completion.
• Technical Experience such as (Equipment Tools etc.:
  • National Instruments hardware PXIe RIO DAQ.
  • Experience in HIL/MIL software architecture.
  • Experience developing realtime/non realtime test applications in LabVIEW.
  • Expert in electromechanical test and test automation.
  • Familiarity and use of standard test equipment and acquisition to verify correct operation software and systems
• Advanced LabVIEW programming with an emphasis on FPGA and HIL systems and their integration.
• Strong understanding of ObjectOriented programming.
• Experience with Git or other source control platforms.
• Experience in writing device drivers for 3rd party hardware.
• Experience interfacing with large database systems SQL etc.
• Networking using Ethernet EtherNet/IP other industrial protocols.
• Integrated control or acquisition of science diagnostic systems.
• Interest in large science or R&D projects.
• Experience with integration of software and hardware in a high voltage or high current environment.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) workflow.
• Experience with software programming of safety systems.
• Experience with testing of highpower equipment i.e. motors power electronics.
• Experience of electric vehicle technology and a passion for EVs and sustainable energy.
• Experience with automotive communication protocols and tools including CAN PCAN CANape NIXNET Ethernet etc.
• Experience with Python PowerShell and SQL scripting.

Education

• Required: B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related physics or engineering discipline
• Preferred: LabVIEW Certification (Certified LabVIEW Developer)

At TAE Technologies we consider a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and jobrelated knowledge training; licenses and certifications and other business and organizational needs. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements depending on the position offered. The compensation range for this role is $125000$145000.
