We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and grow our AIoT engineering teams driving excellence in technology development and people management. Even though regular coding is not a part of the expectations for this position the successful candidate is expected to pass a live coding interview.
What to expect
Leadership & Team Management: Lead mentor and manage AIoT engineering teams while fostering a collaborative highperformance culture. Conduct regular 1:1 meetings performance reviews and career development discussions. Identify skill gaps and implement training programs.
Strategic Planning & : Collaborate with product management to define and execute the product roadmap. Set objectives prioritize tasks and manage resources to ensure timely delivery. Promote best engineering practices including agile methodologies and automated testing.
Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance to ensure alignment with technology standards. Oversee IoT system development to ensure scalability reliability and security. Tackle technical problems handson when necessary.
CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work closely with product management operations and hardware engineering teams. Ensure effective communication and remove obstacles.
Talent Acquisition & Retention: Participate in recruiting top engineering talent and implement retention strategies. Promote diversity equity and inclusion.
Budget & Resource Management: Manage the AIoT engineering budget and resources to maximize productivity.
Inspire us by
You have a degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Technology or a related field.
Experience in product engineering or R&D and technical leadership or people management.
10 years of professional experience in software engineering (coding software development).
5 years of postgraduation work experience with 1 years in people management.
Experienced with Python or proficient in another objectoriented language with an interest in learning and developing software using Python as the main programming language.
Handson experience with Linux comfortable working in the command line and using GNU tools.
Experienced with the clientserver model.Proficient in Git.
Experience with a unit test framework.Experience with Docker.
Understanding of key security concepts including the implementation of security protocols to protect backend services.
Experience with an industrial messaging broker (e.g. MQTT).
Ability to interpret and process large amounts of logs.Experience with Bash scripting.
Familiarity with REST APIs and HTTP.Experience with the Linux Kernel at least at a high level (boot sequence Secure Boot kernel/user space modules /dev /proc).Experience with IoT or embedded Linux flavors.
AIoT skills: Deep Learning Machine Learning Computer Vision.Experience working with large IoT fleets (thousands or millions of IoT devices).
Strong written and spoken English skills (level C1 on the CEFR scale).
Extra points for
Experience in hardware integration.
CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI/CD).Experience with cloud services preferably with AWS services such as Kinesis Lambda S3 EC2 ECS Fargate Elastic Beanstalk and RDS.
Familiarity with algorithms such as Kalman filter PID Dijkstra and sorting.Fulltext search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch or Apache Lucene).
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) preferably Terraform.
