PURPOSE: Improve the organizations ability to integrate newly acquired businesses in line with Company standards and accelerate achievement of business objectives.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Work in cooperation with regional management to ensure the finance functions of new business are integrated in accordance with Lincoln standards such as:
- Corporate Policies and Procedures (U.S. GAAP)
- Corporate Reporting Requirements
- Internal controls (SarbanesOxley)
- Visit and perform management reviews of existing businesses compliance with key accounting and control requirements.
- Generate reports of issues identified
- Perform hands on training of local finance staff to ensure remediation
- Serve as temporary controller in new or existing business when the need arises
- Provide extensive onsite support ensuring proper training of finance staff and implementation of policies and controls.
- Ability to travel globally as Lincoln currently has and continues to acquire businesses around the world
- From time to time the incumbents supervisor/manager may assign additional unlisted duties/responsibilities on a temporary or regularly basis depending on the business needs.
- The incumbent is expected to work safely and follow established procedures and policies. The incumbent is responsible for understanding and complying with Lincoln Electric employment regulations.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Companys 2025 Strategy.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration in Accounting or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant is a plus.
- 7 to 10 years of work experience as a Financial Controller /Director in a multinational corporation is required.
- Big 4 auditor experience is highly regarded.
- Significant experience and knowledge in US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley processes is required with experience in SAP a plus.
- Fluency in English. Addition languages are a plus.
- Position may be Remote and/or Relocation can be offered
