Position Overview
Are you a seasoned transportation designer with a passion for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our organization you will lead transportation design projects from concept to completion ensuring the successful delivery of highquality and costeffective solutions.
Position Responsibilities
- Project Leadership:
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initial concept development through to construction and project closeout.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams ensuring the successful of transportation design projects.
- Design Expertise:
- Utilize your expertise in transportation design to develop creative and efficient solutions for roadway bridge and infrastructure projects.
- Stay abreast of industry trends emerging technologies and best practices to enhance project outcomes.
- Client Collaboration:
- Foster strong relationships with clients understanding their needs and expectations to deliver solutions that exceed their requirements.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients addressing concerns and providing regular project updates.
- Team Development:
- Mentor and develop junior engineers providing guidance on technical skills and project management best practices.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all transportation designs adhere to relevant codes standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with regulatory agencies to secure necessary approvals and permits for transportation projects.
- Budget and Schedule Management:
- Manage project budgets and schedules effectively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal state local and company standards.
- Communicate incidents accidents near misses potential hazards and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified.
Skills/Education/Experience
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation design with a focus on roadway and infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD MicroStation and Civil 3D.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Estimated Compensation Range: $97760 $120640/year*
