For the Dept. of Art Art History and Architecture
Directly report to Emily Walsh Art Coordinator
The Studio Art Area of the Department of Art Art History and Architecture is seeking student Art Monitors. Art monitors support safe and equitable use of the tools studio spaces & knowledge of technical art processes.
Duties include the following: general cleaning organizing and maintenance in sculpture printmaking drawing painting and computer studios; preparing classrooms for studio classes; monitoring and providing peertopeer support to art students working on their projects in the building especially after teaching hours; locking all classrooms and the building at the end of the evening shift; assisting faculty at their request and running errands on campus. Art Monitors need to address current or potential student and/or facilities issues afterhours in a timely manner.
Applicants should be able to assist in operating power tools (to provide cleaning and maintenance) in the metal and wood shops and be familiar with procedures in printmaking.
Preferably an Art Major or Minor with interest in increasing their knowledge of the Department.
