Job Description
This opportunity is best suited to a veterinarian with at least 4 years postgraduation experience who has demonstrated strong clinical leadership and proven management skills a desire to nurture the development of junior vets and nurses if required and is comfortable consulting diagnosing and treating companion animals with autonomy. Bonus points (and the first round of coffee on us) if you have good time management and youre an approachable coach or should we say Captain whose natural style is to mentor in a collaborative manner.
Using evidencebased diagnoses therapies and recommended courses of treatment you are empowered to manage cases with the collaboration and mentoring both to and from your colleagues and onhand advice from our specialist network as even the most senior of Vets can learn new tricks!
Leadership doesnt have to be all consuming so youll design your roster with Jess that offers a balance to your work and personal needs. No late nights or excessive weekends just a 4 or 5day week and the odd weekend rotation. Youll also have an experienced Area Manager Regional Clinical Director and state General Manager to help support the management clinical standards and financial elements of your role. Thats the great part about your clinic being in the Greencross network youre not in this alone! (And yes these three are just as quirky as your clinic team maybe even slightly more so).
Qualifications :
While we are a super fun crew our standards of care are no joke to us so to be considered for this role you must hold a Veterinary degree from a university accredited by the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council (AVBC) and/or have completed NAVLE AVE or alike examinations and at all times be committed to delivering fearfree compassionate and industry leading health care and advice to our patients and their loving families.
