The Business Analyst will work with functional leaders and the executive team to align on information reporting and delivery to support with KEHs key functional areas that help execute and drive the overall business strategy. Utilization of Excel SQL Tableau and other analytical tools to conduct analysis validation reconciliation and reporting outputs is an integral function of this role. The Business Analyst will recommend business actions to leaders based on findings from the analyzed business reports. The Business Analyst will also work with finance to ensure accurate and timely delivery of monthly management reports. This position will report to both the head of a specific functional area and to a senior leader in analytics and business intelligence.
What You Will Do:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Use advanced data analysis techniques to develop meaningful insights supporting strategic and tactical business decisions. Create and maintain comprehensive Tableau dashboards ensuring they are accurate clear and actionable for business stakeholders. Produce monthend inventory reports and reconcile monthtomonth changes.
- Business Process Optimization: Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement developing recommendations to optimize performance. Leverage data and forecasting models to drive inventory management and other operational efficiencies.
- Forecasting & Inventory Management: Develop and refine forecasting models to anticipate demand optimize inventory levels and improve supply chain efficiency. Work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure datadriven inventory decisions are aligned with business goals.
- Data Integration & Management: Design and manage data pipelines that connect various data sources across the business. Proficiency in custom SQL is required for ensuring data integrity accuracy and accessibility.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders to gather requirements clarify business needs and provide actionable insights. Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical teams.
- Problem Solving: Tackle complex business challenges through innovative and datadriven solutions. Provide expert advice on best practices for data analysis and business optimization.
- Communication & Presentation: Communicate complex findings clearly and effectively to technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Prepare and deliver presentations that provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve internal tools and processes by implementing new technologies and methodologies. Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and data analytics tools to bring fresh perspectives and enhancements to the business.
Skills Needed to be Successful:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Data Science Computer Science or related field. Advanced analytics data management and business intelligence certifications are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in eCommerce retail or the consumer products industry in a role focused on business analysis with a focus on data analytics reporting and process optimization.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Tableau for dashboard development and data visualization. Advanced knowledge of SQL for data querying and analysis. Expertise in Excel with the ability to build complex models and perform advanced data manipulation. Understanding of relational databases cloud computing and data warehousing.
- Analytical Abilities: Deep understanding of data analytics forecasting methods and business modeling. Ability to analyze complex business problems and provide actionable datadriven insights.
- ProblemSolving & Critical Thinking: Proven ability to tackle complex technical operational and organizational challenges applying creative solutions that align with business objectives.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex data findings to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and timemanagement abilities with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Industry Knowledge (Optional but a Plus): Familiarity with the competitive landscape of the photography industry or other creative industries is highly desirable. A strong understanding of market trends and consumer behavior in this space will be advantageous.
Language Skills:
Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. Ability to build merchant category budget.
- Basic knowledge of applied statistics core machine learning algorithms and basic AI principles
