Production Planner Aerospace Manufacturing
Location: Winsted CT
Salary: $100000 $Bonus

We are seeking a Production Planner to join a leading aerospace manufacturing company in Winsted CT. This role is responsible for developing and managing production schedules to ensure smooth operations ontime delivery and efficient use of plant capacity. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills experience in production planning and the ability to collaborate across departments to optimize workflow.
Key Responsibilities for the Production Planner job in Winsted CT:
- Develop production schedules that align with manufacturing requirements and customer demand
- Communicate daily with Production Leaders to ensure smooth product flow
- Monitor casting availability internal/external processes and product quality escalating issues as needed
- Maintain inventory accuracy within the Manufacturing System
- Coordinate with Sales Casting Plants and Shipping to meet delivery commitments and customer expectations
- Interface with the Shipping Department to ensure ontime delivery
- Maintain documentation of inventory levels at each stage of production
- Develop production forecasts to support business and financial objectives
- Process purchase orders and requisitions following company procedures
- Conduct physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred associate degree with additional experience at a minimum.
- Five 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing Production Planning Master Planning Master Scheduler experience.
- APICS certification preferred (Supply Chain Management certification)
- Strong MS Excel skills required
- Experience with Oracle is a plus
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status; ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder) Political Asylee or Refugee. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
