Your activities as a Developer Advocate at Elastic include:
The DevRel teams mission is to educate and help our users succeed by being (or the willingness to become) an expert in Elasticsearch and the Elastic Stack.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Foster the Elastic Community in North America with a focus on Austin TX.
- Create technical content around the Elastic Stack for talks blog posts videos and demos with a focus on observability.
- Speak at virtual and inperson events like conferences meetups and lunch & learn sessions in Texas and throughout North America.
- Answer technical questions on Discuss Slack social media and at events.
- Contribute to Elastic repositories or external ones to integrate better with Elastic technologies.
- Help users be successful with Elastics stack solutions and cloud offerings.
What You Will Bring:
- 2 years of professional experience in DevOps with expertise in monitoring and observability infrastructure automation or cloud deployments.
- Active participation in the Austin tech community.
- Empathy for the community to help them solve their challenges.
- Comfortable working with a highly distributed team.
- Experience working selfdriven and selforganizing.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with and passion for the Elastic Stack.
- Demonstrated ability to create compelling content about technology including speaking writing and demoing.
- Production experience with technologies that complement Elastics technologies such as OpenTelemetry Kubernetes or Generative AI.
- Proficiency in programming languages especially Golang.
- Involvement in past Elastic Community events as speaker or organizer.
- Experience with open source software or commercial open source companies.
