Founded in 2006 Enphase transformed the solar industry with our revolutionary microinverter technology which turns sunlight into a safe reliable resilient and scalable source of energy to power our lives. Today the Enphase Energy System helps people make use save and sell their own power. Enphase is also one of the fastest growing and innovative clean energy companies in the world with approximately 80 million products installed across more than 160 countries.
We are building teams that are designing developing and manufacturing nextgeneration energy technologies and our work environment is fastpaced fun and full of exciting new projects.
If you are passionate about advancing a more sustainable future this is the perfect time to join Enphase!
About the role:
As a Staff MechanicalEngineeryou will be applying your indepth knowledge and experience in electromechanical product development to the detail design and development of products that use polymers metals and rubbers and which closely interface with PCBs and highpower electrical components.
You will be working closely with team members across our global development team so your spoken and written communication needs to be clear and effective in order to be able to present your ideas your concepts and your feedback.
You will be problemsolving on new product development identifying and resolving root causes of field failures and implementing effective cost reduction opportunities.
What you will do:
Designing 70 & testing 30 of new components and products sometimes as sole contributor but often as part of a team of contributors.
Manage assigned mechanical design projects adhering to project timelines budget constraints and quality standards.
Perform daytoday CAD 3D & 2D) activities and documentation.
Conduct periodic design review with mechanical teams & cross functional teams.
Reviewing and analyzing solutions to achieve the best outcome for performance/cost/schedule
Product testing (DVT) & Testing proofofconcepts and prototypes for performance
Failure analysis and root cause identification
Component review and approval including global travel to be onsite at vendors during pre production stage.
Generating own (and reviewing others) documentation including concept proposals analysis reports component specifications review minutes
Ensure quality by design.
Product testing (DVT) & Testing proofofconcepts and prototypes for performance
Design and execute comprehensive test plans (Inhouse and external lab) to verify mechanical performance against design specifications including static and dynamic loading fatigue testing environmental testing and reliability testing.
Analyze test data identify potential issues and implement design improvements to address any deficiencies.
