Team Lead Info Security SOC

United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Operations Center (SOC) Team Leader to oversee our SOC team. This leadership role is crucial for ensuring the effective monitoring detection and response to security incidents across the organization. The SOC Team Leader will foster a proactive security culture and drive continuous improvement of security operations.

• Team Leadership:
  Lead mentor and manage a team of SOC analysts providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and effectiveness in monitoring and responding to security threats.
• Incident Response Management:
  Oversee the incident response process ensuring timely identification investigation and resolution of security incidents. Coordinate communication and escalation procedures during incidents.
• Monitoring and Detection:
  Ensure continuous monitoring of security events and alerts utilizing SIEM tools and other security technologies to detect and respond to potential threats.
• Security Assessments:
  Conduct regular assessments and audits of security operations to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Process Improvement:
  Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for SOC operations fostering a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency in incident response.
• Collaboration:
  Work closely with other IT and security teams to enhance the overall security posture of the organization ensuring effective communication and collaboration during investigations.
• Threat Intelligence:
  Stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities leveraging threat intelligence sources to proactively enhance the SOCs capabilities and incident response strategies.
• Reporting and Metrics:
  Generate and present reports on SOC activities incident metrics and trends to senior management providing insights and recommendations for strategic improvements.
• Training and Development:
  Facilitate training and development opportunities for SOC team members enhancing their skills in threat detection incident response and security best practices.

Must Have Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Information Security Computer Science or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CISM CEH) are a plus.
• Proven experience in a security operations center or incident response role with a strong understanding of security technologies threat detection and incident response methodologies.
• Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with experience in security assessments and vulnerability management.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
