Lancashire Music Service (LMS) is a business unit working within LCC in a competitive environment generating business and providing outstanding standards of customer care for both internal and external customers.
The Business Support Team is focused on supporting and maintaining these standards and has a significant role in the continuing expansion of the Music Service by displaying a professional attitude and commitment to the delivery of a first class administrative service in all aspects of our business.
LMS provides tuition ensembles and support to children and young people to access musical opportunities including instrumental and singing lessons. The service has over 120 specialist teachers delivering weekly tuition to over 20000 pupils within excess of 26000 instruments on loan to schools and families across the county. LMS enables pupils to develop their musical skills through a range of bands and orchestras. 9 Music Centres and 6 County Ensembles meet in the evenings and at weekends providing a range of ensembles from beginner to advanced levels.
About the role
Lancashire Music Service is looking to recruit a Grade 4 Business Support Officer who will support colleagues management and customers. The post will undertake a range of functions that include dealing with queries from customers processing online requests administering financial processes coordinating pupil lessons and updating information using Speed Admin and other ICT software packages. There will be an expectation to manage multiple workstreams at any one time.

This is a permanent 29.6 hours per week post based in Preston.
We are currently working with greater flexibility and have ablended approach with attendance at an office base and working from home.
