Responsibilities
Qualifications
Become a valued member of DNVs Power System Planning team in Germany with opportunities to work from our offices in Dresden or Berlin. Youll play a key role in national and international projects collaborating across diverse teams within DNV and with external partners primarily within the Northern Europe region.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Perform modeling and analysis of the behavior of electrical grids and various types of power system studies.
- Perform detailed analysis and investigations related to specific topics such as:
- long and midterm network development planning for transmission and distribution grids
- grid integration of renewable energy sources storage and electric vehicles energy efficiency reliability and power quality
- grid integration of power electronics (e.g. HVDC FACTS hydrogen electrolyzers inverters)
- grid code compliance simulations
- voltage control frequency control and grid stability
- fault clearance protection and control
- Perform site visits test witnessing and practical validation of studies.
- Contribute to highquality technical reports and commercial proposals.

Qualifications
Were looking for a dynamic and skilled professional with the following qualifications and attributes:
- University degree in electrical engineering preferably with specialization in Power Systems Analysis or similar education
- Knowledge and understanding of core technical areas (Power System Studies Grid Integration of Renewables and Storage Testing & Modelling of Generation Units Grid Code Compliance Protection and Control)
- Experience with modeling and simulation of electrical components and networks with tools such as PowerFactory NEPLAN Integral PSCAD EMTP/ATP or similar
- Fluent in German and English both written and verbal incl. understanding of technical and commercial terms
- Experience with Python or other programming languages will be an advantage
- Interest and ability in interacting with customers. Ability to organize project work deliver and create a good team spirit.
- Willing to travel for business.
- A systematic working style that emphasizes accuracy and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
- High level of creativity flexibility and initiative.
- Customer focus ability to make new contacts and maintain professional relationships internally and externally.
