Air Drill/Planter Recon Technician
About the Position:
Department: Service
Reports to: Service Dispatcher
Supervises: N/A
Purpose:
Reconditions and services air drills and planters around the Gooseneck Implement service area. Will also prepare and install technology upgrades on designated equipment.
Responsibilities:
Reconditions and assembles all types of seeding equipment and merchandise offered for sale by the dealership.
Prepare and install technology upgrades on designated equipment.
Operates and maintains vehicles tools and equipment required.
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and timely fashion.
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties.
May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work away from home including overnight stays 1 to 3 nights a week.
Ability to assemble machinery components.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to use basic computer functions.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Strong customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail.
High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid drivers license.
Submission of driving authorization for insurability check.
Willing to train individuals with a desire to learn and a strong work ethic.
