Are you passionate about leading technical projects and driving innovation in protection engineering for the electric utility and industrial markets Join our team at GE Renewables Grid Automation as an Electrical Engineering Technical Lead! In this dynamic role you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing protection and panel design acting as a bridge between our customers and GEs technical community. This is an exciting opportunity to make impactful decisions apply your expertise and ensure the successful delivery of projects from inception to site commissioning.Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Technical Projects: Drive technical project activities lead customer kickoff meetings and ensure successful project from design to commissioning.
- Customer and Project Management: Participate in project risk reviews manage project budgets in term of mandays allocated to the engineering tasks and provide regular progress updates.
- Design and Documentation: Analyse customer specifications write project technical documentation and validate technical solutions with customers.
- Technical Oversight: Specify software and IEDs manage technical planning and ensure adherence to GE Vernova safety standards.
- Issue Resolution: Address technical deviations manage fault reports and support site engineers remotely or onsite.
- Testing and Commissioning: Lead Factory Acceptance Tests Site Acceptance Tests and coordinate with commissioning teams for major site milestones.
- Training and Support: Provide projectspecific training to customers support tendering and commercial teams and ensure customer satisfaction through professional project .
Qualifications/Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Educational Background: B.E or Btech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Over five years of protection and electrical design engineeringrelated experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of protection functions electrical scheme and cubicle design.
- Design Expertise: Proficient in designing and configuring protection relays and network studies.
- GE Substation Automation Solutions: Preferred candidates will have proven knowledge in this area.
- Travel: Ability to travel globally.
Desired Characteristics
- Automation and protection Systems: Indepth knowledge of automation electrical scheme detailed design of electrical protection relays (LV MV & HV) and network studies.
- Interpersonal and ProblemSolving Skills: Strong interpersonal problemsolving and organizational skills.
- Independent and Flexible: Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to cooperate across departments.
