Job Description

Field Sales Executive CrossBorder Logistics

Location: Based in San Diego CA this role focuses on local sales within the San Diego market while providing crossborder sales support for Tijuana Baja California and surrounding areas in Mexico.

The position requires engagement with businesses throughout San Diego and neighboring regions driving sales growth developing new business opportunities and strengthening customer relationships. Additionally travel into Tijuana and throughout Baja California will be necessary to support crossborder trade ensuring seamless logistics solutions and expanding Maersks presence in these key markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Growth & Market Expansion:
    • Own and drive new business development within the U.S.Mexico corridor.
    • Identify and secure new revenue opportunities ensuring sustainable business growth.
  • Client Partnerships & Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships providing tailored logistics solutions.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor guiding clients on crossborder logistics complexities.
  • Strategic Market Leadership & Industry Expertise:
    • Develop and execute a highimpact sales strategy that maximizes profitability.
    • Stay ahead of market trends in ground freight FTL LTL Inland Intermodal Middle Mile Final Mile and CrossBorder transportation.
  • Collaborative Success & Operational Coordination:
    • Work closely with local management operations and pricing teams to align services with customer needs.
    • Ensure seamless client onboarding and high levels of satisfaction to drive longterm retention.
  • Define & Implement MarketCompetitive Pricing Models:
    • Work with the pricing team to establish competitive rate structures that support business development and profitability.
    • Ensure cost transparency and adaptability based on market fluctuations.
  • Implement & Maintain Sales Process Discipline:
    • Maintain accurate and uptodate records in Salesforce (SFDC).
    • Ensure data integrity for performance tracking and revenue forecasting.

Performance Expectations (Minimum based on Maersk Needs):

  • Pipeline Management:
    • ShortTerm Targets: Minimum of 1015 deals closing within the next 90 days.
    • LongTerm Targets: Minimum of 1015 deals closing in 90 days.
    • Revenue Benchmark: All targets must generate at least $60000 in annual revenue.
    • New Opportunities: Minimum of 2 new opportunities entered into SFDC weekly.
  • Wins & Conversion Targets:
    • Minimum of 2 wins per month.
    • At least 1 of the 2 monthly wins should be a new logo (new customer acquisition).
  • Sales Activity & Engagement:
    • FacetoFace Calls: Minimum of 3 preplanned F2F meetings per day 15 per week.
    • Office vs. Field Schedule: Monday office day Tuesday Friday in the field for customer meetings.
    • Pricing Proposals: Submit a minimum of 2 domestic pricing proposals per month via RSO LTL Tariff Pricing Submission.
  • Prospecting & Outreach:
    • 10 outreach/cold calls attempt per day (via phone or inperson cold calling prospecting pricing proposals and sales initiatives).

What You Bring:

  • 4 years of proven sales success in logistics freight forwarding specialized freight or ground transportation.
  • Resultsdriven mindset with a track record of exceeding sales targets and driving substantial revenue growth.
  • Exceptional relationshipbuilding communication and negotiation skills with a focus on customercentric solutions.
  • CRM expertise (Salesforce preferred) to manage sales pipelines track performance and enhance forecasting.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills capable of crafting solutions for complex supply chain challenges.
  • Highly organized and proactive able to manage multiple client interactions and projects efficiently.
  • High School Diploma required (Bachelors degree preferred).
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Willing and able to travel between the U.S. and Mexico as needed to meet business requirements.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $80000 $100000 USD*

*The stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary and may be adjusted based on market conditions experience and location. Final compensation will be discussed directly with the selected candidate(s) in compliance with all applicable laws.
