Video Producer

What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a Video Producer to support the mission and vision of the University within the Division of Marketing and Communications by developing strategic video communication solutions that advance University priorities and marketing and communications division initiatives. This support will include planning creating shooting directing and editing content for specific use and collaborating with other video producers and marketing and communication professionals to integrate content into a variety of communication channels.

A Bachelors Degree and one year of relevant work experience is required. A Masters Degree and three years of experience is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of one another.

All interested applicants MUST answer the following questions and submit a portfolio as a supplementary document.

Your portfolio should include a demo reel or a website link that showcases your professional work and skill level with a strong emphasis on animated text graphics filming and editing.

1. How familiar are you with the following (novice/intermediate/expert)

Rotoscoping

Keyframe animation

Graphic animation

Character rigging

2. How much experience do you have with the following software: (novice/intermediate/expert)

Adobe Premiere

Adobe After Effects

Adobe Animate

Blender

3. Are you licensed by the FAA to fly a drone

Required Qualifications:

• Must be willing and able to work a semiflexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed based on events deadlines interview schedules etc.
• Must have excellent communication skills ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments at the same time; ability to accomplish projects with little supervision; high expectations for quality; excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills; ability to manage and meet deadlines; ability to work under tight timelines and high degrees of stress
• Must have a proven ability to concept pitch and deliver highquality video with purposeful clear storytelling to support marketing initiatives events donor cultivation and other priorities
• Willingness and ability to work in a variety of environments and physically demanding conditions
• Must be a team player open to creative collaboration and feedback.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis.

What You Will Do

• Plan produce direct and edit long and shortform creative video and audio elements for traditional and new media outlets to promote the University engage alumni increase interest of prospective students support the communication messages of significant events and enhance communication initiatives of the Division
• Produce standalone and integrated graphic animations that enhance the storytelling of the University through a range of communication channels and programmatic videos
• Work with other video producers to provide graphic support for their needs
• Stay abreast of emerging video and animation technologies and tools and engage online training to continue to grow video and graphic animation skills
• Develop and enhance collaborative relationships with members of the Marketing and Communication Division key marketing partners and others across campus
• Work in collaboration with students freelancers and other Baylor staff in support of event production and video projects
• Contribute to the overall work of the Marketing and Communications Division
• Perform all other duties as assigned to support mission Baylor University.
• Comply with University policies.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
