Your Role
Identify and analyze emerging trends and technologies in the field of Generative AI providing insights and recommendations for strategic initiatives.
Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to assess the feasibility and viability of new Generative AI technologies ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Drive the development of innovative GenAIbased products collaborating with crossfunctional teams to bring concepts to fruition.
Contribute to shaping the crossZEISS GenAI strategy ensuring cohesive integration of AI technologies across various business units.
Educate and mentor colleagues fostering a culture of continuous learning and building internal expertise in Generative AI.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable AI solutions that address realworld challenges.
Prepare and present complex technical information in an accessible manner to diverse audiences facilitating informed decisionmaking.
Your Profile
An excellent university degree (PhD is a plus) in natural sciences mathematics computer science engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data modeling algorithm development or data science roles.
Proven ability to navigate technology hype identify and prioritize transformative applications for our group and execute their development within agile squads.
Deep understanding of foundational and large language models coupled with a vision and handson mindset to actualize ideas within ZEISS solutions.
Track record of successful GenAIbased applications demonstrating the ability to deliver impactful solutions that drive business value.
Experience with best practices in model development and deployment particularly using Azure Machine Learning Service and MLflow.
Strong background in software development (Python Git MS Azure DevOps) and familiarity with agile methodologies.
Experience with Industry 4.0 related development demonstrating an understanding of its implications for business processes.
Exceptional problemsolving skills with the ability to comprehend customer needs and articulate complex technical concepts in operational contexts.
Strong results orientation along with strategic and conceptual thinking capabilities.
Fluent in English with advanced proficiency in German.
