As an AI Specialist for Visual Inspection at Roche PT you will lead the development implementation and optimization of deep learning solutions with a focus on visual inspection applications and Generative AI (GenAI). You will drive the design and enhancement of AI models and systems collaborating with crossfunctional teams to streamline and transform business processes. Your role will involve exploring and integrating cuttingedge AI algorithms supporting the automation and enhancement of Roches pharmaceutical operations. You will play a key role in mentoring junior team members and contributing to the broader AI strategy within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design development and deployment of advanced deep learning models for visual inspection (e.g. CNNs) ensuring high accuracy and performance in pharmaceutical applications.
Spearhead the integration of Generative AI systems to automate complex processes and improve decisionmaking across production environments.
Oversee the creation maintenance and optimization of AI pipelines ensuring smooth transitions from data preprocessing to model deployment and continuous performance monitoring.
Collaborate with senior engineering teams to develop scalable robust and realtime AI solutions tailored to Roches operational needs.
Conduct research on emerging AI technologies and frameworks contributing to the continuous innovation and improvement of Roche PTs AI capabilities.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and specialists in AI and deep learning best practices.
Work closely with leadership to align AI projects with strategic goals and business priorities.
Who you are
Masters degree in AI Computer Science Data Science or a related field. A Ph.D. is highly preferred
Extensive experience applying AI deep learning and Generative AI particularly in visual inspection and model optimization with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Advanced proficiency in Python and deep learning libraries (e.g. TensorFlow PyTorch) with a focus on model building deployment and performance optimization.
Strong experience with machine learning techniques for visual recognition tasks including model evaluation performance tuning and scaling AI solutions.
Expertise in deploying AI models at scale using cloud platforms (AWS GCP Azure) including managing model lifecycle and ensuring continuous optimization.
Deep understanding of data preprocessing model optimization and the practical application of AI solutions in business contexts.
Ability to develop strategic AI solutions that meet both shortterm and longterm business needs.
Preferred:
Proven interest or experience with AI technologies applied to pharmaceutical or healthcare industries especially within manufacturing and operational contexts.
Familiarity with the integration of Generative AI applications or advanced visual inspection systems in manufacturing environments.
Experience in leading or managing teams mentoring others and shaping AI strategy within an organization.
