Senior Theatre Practitioner

Up to 45760

South West London

Responsibilities:

  • Develop your supervision/training skills of junior staff theatre list management skills budgetary management and managerial accountability skills under the supervision of the Theatre Manager.
  • Follow hospital guidelines and protocols as you promote best evidencebased practice always acting as the patients advocate.
  • You will ensure the safe custody of medication and controlled drug and that patient care areas are safe fit for purpose and effectively maintained.
  • You will undertake mandatory surgical checks prior to the start of the procedure during and prewound closure.
  • You will plan and take the lead to facilitate the running of theatre lists and provide management accountability in the absence of a clinical lead under the supervision of Theatre Manager.

Requirements for this role:

  • First level Registered Nurse/HCPC registered ODP.
  • SFA desirable experienced in ENT essential
  • Post registration education in a relevant specialty Degree in Healthcare or 5 years equivalent experience.
  • Expert scrub nurse with post qualification scrub experience in a range of surgical specialties.
  • Strong patientcentred approach
  • Demonstrate honesty integrity and ethics in the workplace.

They have an opportunity for a Senior Theatre Practitioner to join their team of staff in the Theatre department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
