Sentara Family Medicine Independence is looking for a Medical Assistant to join the team.
***Sign on Bonus offered for qualified candidates***
Position Status: Fulltime Rotating shift
Position Location: Virginia Beach VA
Standard Working Hours: Open Monday Friday from 7:00AM to 7:00PM for walkin clinic and 7:30AM 5:00PM for family medicine.
Overview
Perform patient care related tasks and procedures based on training education and competency evaluation and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA) Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Perform administrative duties as appropriate.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification/Licensure
Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Certification American Medical Technologists (AMT) orEMT BasicCertificationsNational Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Certification National Healthcare Association (NHA) or EMT AdvancedCertification National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) orParamedic
Experience
Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Phlebotomy experience preferred
