Job Description
General Summary
Provides a wide range of preventive and acute health care services to individuals of all ages. The Physician performs acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures.
Responsibilities
WellSpan Health is seeking a urologist to join the wellrespected team in Chambersburg PA. This collegial group is currently comprised of 5 physicians and 2 APPs. Chambersburg offers excellent schools multiple recreational cultural & historic activities and proximity to the Baltimore/DC metro area. A favorable tax climate excellent healthcare & easy access to all major metropolitan areas of the Northeast have made Central PA a top retirement destination.
Position Highlights:
- Call is currently 1:4.
- Typical schedule is 34 clinic days & 12 days in the OR.
- Surgeries performed at Chambersburg Hospital (CH) & ASC.
- The groups Uro Hospitalist rounds & does inpatient consults.
- APPs have their own panel of patients & assist with work ups.
- Excellent Practice Manager & dedicated/longterm staff.
- Collegial collaboration w/ General Surgery OB/GYN Oncology & Uro/Gyn.
- CH is a busy 274bed community hospital w/ nine ORs & two XI Da Vinci Robots
- 7300 surgeries performed in FY23.
- The ED sees 53000 patients per year.
Qualifications:
- Board eligible/certified
- Robotic surgery experience is preferred but not required.

Minimum Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required
Licenses:
- Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
- Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
- Boarded in appropriate specialty. Upon Hire Required and
- Completion of a residency. Upon Hire Required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Teaching skills.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Good phone skills.
- Excellent Customer Service.
- Organized sets priorities and able to multitask.
