Purpose of the Role:
As an Operations Controller you will play a pivotal role in coordinating our bus services ensuring all operations run smoothly and effectively. You will provide realtime support to our frontline driving staff and ensure compliance with all pertinent regulations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Coordinate bus and employee operational movements ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Schedule maintenance requirements in liaison with workshop personnel.
- Ensure fleet availability meets service demands across operational depots.
- Continuously evaluate and manage operational challenges including staffing changes and unexpected service needs.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to minimize service disruptions.
- Record all operational occurrences to meet reporting obligations and enhance performance analysis.
- Promote a culture of safety and proactive communication within the team.
Qualifications / Experience:
Mandatory:
- Experience in scheduling and operations within a complex environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Law and Regulations.
- Excellent communication planning and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn company systems quickly.
- Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol screening.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in the transport/logistics industry.
- Familiarity with planning software such as Coach Manager.
