Job Description

RAPP Detroit is looking for an Account Director to join our awardwinning Account Leadership team.

Part of Omnicoms Precision Marketing Group RAPP is comprised of 2000 creatives technologists strategists and data and marketing scientists across 15 global markets.

YOUR ROLE:

The ideal candidate has a proven track record exemplifying core competencies expected of an Account Director and possesses the confidence to lead in a digitalfirst datacentric manner. Serving as a trusted advisor and collaborative partner they engage with automotive clients at senior managerial and marketing/category directorial levels. Their adeptness lies in managing multidisciplinary projects for clients across various sectors navigating seamlessly through agency matrices crossholding company partnerships and external agency collaborations. Driven by a natural curiosity and a relentless pursuit of excellence they consistently deliver outstanding results.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gaining a deep understanding of automotive business dynamics strategies and industry drivers across various channels.
  • Serving as a liaison between multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration throughout the business while monitoring projecting and offering innovative solutions to marketing challenges.
  • Exhibiting accountability for agency performance and effectively managing financial and commercial aspects of the business.
  • Navigating both the Agency and client matrices adeptly.
  • Managing complex multichannel campaigns across different stages of the funnel and customer journey.
  • Managing the intricacies of initiatives or campaigns within the broader business context.
  • Facilitating the development of project briefs in collaboration with strategic planners and analysts.
  • Managing client expectations objectives timelines and budgets effectively.
  • Providing guidance to team members in evaluating ideas and directions.
  • Shepherding ideas from development to presentation to both for oneself and others.
  • Leading an integrated agency model to ensure alignment and collaborative work towards shared goals among agency teams.
  • Steering internal and partner teams to deliver integrated solutions from strategy and concept to while representing client interests adequately.
  • Fostering growth inspiration and career development plans for direct reports and junior staff.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 810 years of account management experience is necessary particularly with a focus on digital and CRM.
  • Strong mid to seniorlevel client experience is essential along with the ability to navigate complex client organizations effectively.
  • A proven track record of exceptional business leadership skills is required.
  • Comfort with ambiguity both in client interactions and internal processes is crucial. Demonstrating flexibility and creative problemsolving abilities is a must.
  • Must exhibit strong teamwork skills maintaining a friendly and cooperative demeanor.
  • Should demonstrate adeptness in managing various personalities both within the team and when interacting with clients.
  • Experience in communications planning is essential with a capability to articulate strategic recommendations effectively including successful client engagements.
  • Proven ability to autonomously manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced deadlinedriven setting.
  • Effective and proactive collaboration within a geographically dispersed team environment is a must.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to identify and nurture junior talent effectively.
  • Automotive experience preferred ideally with exposure to Tier 1 program activation and support.
  • A concentration in Fixed Ops/Retention Marketing is a plus.

Our Hybrid Work Model:

RAPPs current hybrid model is designed to enable inperson connections and collaboration that is core to our culture while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such we have the option to work from home two days per week if wed like.

This range is specific to Detroit and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill set experience and training certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
