Want to anchor for the No. 1 news station in South Texas where your work will be seen heard and valued by tens of thousands of viewers KIII 3NEWS is looking for a bold driven WEEKEND ANCHOR / MULTISKILLED JOURNALIST to helm our toprated newscasts. This is a rare chance to be part of a marketleading station that believes in journalism that drives change.
The best candidate will be a passionate leader and a determined selfstarter ready to jump in and help guide our weekend team and anchor our four weekend evening newscasts. They will also be one of our strongest reporters during the week pitching lead stories and fronting them live.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOULL DO:
Anchor weekend evening newscasts and fillin anchor other newscasts as needed
write edit and produce your own multiplatform stories 3 days a week
Develop contacts and sources within the community and enterprise original stories
Contribute to 3News coverage across our broadcast digital and social channels
Take leadership role helping the producers and web team find stories write produce and execute
Make public appearances and attend community events

Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of onair experience
Ability to work various shifts including nights early mornings and weekends
Journalism and/or Mass Communication degree (preferred)
Texas/regional knowledge is a plus
ENPS and Edius experience (preferred)
