About Strescon Limited
Established in 1963 Strescon Limited has grown to become the largest precast prestressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada. Its primary market covers the Atlantic Provinces and the New England region of the United States. Strescon manufactures a wide range of both architectural and structural precast/prestressed concrete products including bridge girders wall panels complete parking garages hollowcore slabs precast pile and deck slabs. Strescon presently has two facilities: 70000 sq.ft. in Saint John New Brunswick and 50000 sq.ft. in Bedford Nova Scotia.
In addition to our engineered precast facilities for custom components Strescon also operates a 32000 sq. ft. facility in Saint John which manufactures standard concrete products for engineered drainage systems such as pipe manholes and catchbasins.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for the structural analysis and designof precast concrete structures like parking garages and apartment buildings as well as precast concrete elements of all types both prestressed and normally reinforced.
As a member of the Engineering team the ideal candidate must be comfortableinteractingwith a diverse workforce including DraftersEngineers Project Managers Salespeople Estimators Production Supervisors and Field Erectors.This position requires high attention to detail reading specifications architectural structural and steel fabricator drawings to ensure the precast design meets contract requirements. In general this is a position where guidelines structure and established procedures must be followed closely.
