Were looking for a passionate and talented Data Science Intern (Masters/PhD) to join our team!

What Youll Do: As a Data Science Intern at Xometry youll contribute to projects that leverage advanced analytical techniques to optimize our manufacturing processes improve customer experience and drive business decisions. You can expect to work in an environment that encourages innovation and provides handson experience in applying cuttingedge data science techniques to realworld challenges.You will:

• Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms for tasks such as demand forecasting predictive maintenance or supply chain optimization.
• Conduct indepth data analysis to identify trends patterns and insights from large datasets related to manufacturing operations customer behavior and market dynamics.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of different datadriven strategies.
• Collaborate with engineers product managers and business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into impactful data science solutions.
• Contribute to the development of data pipelines and infrastructure for data science applications.
• Communicate complex technical findings clearly and effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Potentially contribute to research and publications related to your work.

What Were Looking For:

• Academic Excellence: Currently enrolled in a Masters or PhD program at an accredited college or university graduating in December 2025 or May 2026 with a strong academic record.
• The ideal candidate will be pursuing a Masters or PhD degree in: Data Science Statistics Machine Learning or a related quantitative field.
• Technical Skills: Strong foundation in statistical modeling machine learning and data mining techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python R) and data visualization tools.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) and big data technologies (e.g. Spark Hadoop) is highly desirable.
• Research Experience (PhD candidates): Experience conducting independent research and contributing to publications is a plus.
• Strong Work Ethic: Ability to work fulltime 40 hours/week) during the internship period (June 9 August 15 2025.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• ProblemSolving Skills: A strong analytical mindset and a passion for problemsolving.
• Legal Authorization: Ability to provide proof of legal right to work in the United States.Location Requirement: Ability to commute to our Lexington KY or North Bethesda MD office to work onsite for at least 3 days a week.
