You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailChildrens University Medical Group (CUMG) in conjunction with the Department of Pediatrics is seeking two experienced APPs (ARNP) at 1.0 FTE for the Newborn Nursery Service.
Successful candidate will be appointed as a Teaching Associate through the UW School of Medicine.

This position will provide clinical services and consultation at the University of Washington Medical Center Newborn Nursery. Duties will include but are not limited to managing panel of primarily well newborn patients documenting patient care according to existing standards including admission & discharge summaries significant event notes and daily progress notes placing orders interpreting radiographs and laboratory studies fostering strong relationships with families participating in quality improvement projects developing standards of care supporting data collection implementation of protocols updating/reviewing policies attending newborn nursery faculty meetings nursery nurse practitioner quarterly meetings quality improvement (QI) and perinatal operations meetings.
Schedule: 12hour day shifts 7a7p) weekends included schedule variable.
Teaching Associates hold annual appointments that align with a 12month service period (July 1June 30 and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12month period (JulyJune) meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. In addition to providing primary care this role will include some clinical teaching responsibilities.
Base salary for this position will be $125544 $184644 annually $10462 $15387 commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determination and calculations. Compensation provided by (CUMG) provides eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through Childrens University Medical Group practice plan.
Masters degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program. Active unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington
Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner. Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals is required at time of hire and to be maintained continuously throughout employment. American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will also be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Professionals. Some clinical locations may require American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support training and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and continuous maintenance of certification.
