We are building a new shopping experience in the Amazon Shopping app that provides customers a place to discover even more affordable Fashion Home Lifestyle Electronics and other products at ultralow prices. This exciting product discoverydriven CX is full of products across categories at low prices with fulfillment in one to two weeks. The stores intuitive browsebased UX and thumbstopping discounts encourage exploration basket building and repeat purchases. It is still early days and the perfect time to join a fastmoving team at the ground level.
Were looking for an exceptionally motivated and organized Merchandising Manager with strong customer focus analytical skills and an entrepreneurial spirit to join the marketing team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of visual merchandising and content marketing in the B2C or ecommerce space. They have exceptional project management skills possess a strong analytical mindset is highly detailoriented and able to execute flawlessly to meet timelines. They know how to balance creative and technical requirements to test new initiatives (e.g. generative AI) and create a bestinclass shopping experience that inspires browsing and drives conversion. They are innovative creative and able to navigate ambiguity on a daily basis.
The position can be based in any of the following EU locations: London Luxembourg Munich Berlin Milan Madrid Paris.
Key job responsibilities
1. Develop own and execute the site merchandising strategy and content calendar to inspire and convert customers
2. Work with site merchandising styling and creative counterparts to scale content creation (e.g. generative AI) to deliver a regular cadence of site updates aligning to seasonal events industry moments brand launches and trends
3. Collaborate with product engineering and business intelligence teams to optimize site placements (refinements filters product page) and reporting
4. Set up testing and experimentation to gain customer insights on CX improvements
5. Create reporting structure to track measure and benchmark site performance sharing learnings and recommendations with key stakeholders
6. Stay current with trends in the retail industry to continue iterating on a bestinclass site experience
Experience in professional noninternship marketing
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation macros charts and pivot tables)
Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
Experience building executing and scaling crossfunctional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
of site merchandising content marketing or digital marketing roles.
Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
Effective crossteam collaborator with the ability to work across multiple creative projects.
Experience using customer research hard data and metrics to back up assumptions generate forecasts and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email web analytics and CRM (Marketo Tableau Salesforce etc. for targeting segmentation reporting for demand generation
Previous work experience in a fastpaced environment with demonstrated experience of having high adaptability
