Job Description
Purpose of the Job
The Associate Manager Procurement and Packaging will support thedevelopment and management of relationships with raw material vendors andassist in overseeing the procurement of packaging solutions for the brand. Thisrole is essential for ensuring costeffective procurement processes while maintaininghighquality standards and aligning with the brands sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Support: Assist in identifying and establishing relationships with new rawmaterial vendors for the wellness market focusing on quality and sustainability.
Procurement Assistance: Support the procurement of raw materials for the manufacturing ofscented candles reed diffusers incense sticks and new product formats underthe brand.
Packaging Coordination: Help set up a supplier base for primary and secondary packagingensuring that packaging solutions align with the brands sustainability goals.
Cost Management: Contribute to the implementation of costeffective procurementprocesses while maintaining quality standards for all materials and packaging.
Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing quality assurance and marketingteams to ensure that procurement aligns with production schedules and productspecifications.
Market Research: Assist in researching market trends and innovations in rawmaterials and packaging to enhance product offerings and sustainabilityinitiatives.
Skills & Competencies Required:
Procurement Knowledge: Understanding of procurement processes and supply chainmanagement.
Packaging Awareness: Familiarity with packaging design principles and sustainabilitypractices.
Negotiation Skills: Basic negotiation skills to support supplier interactions.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance toassist in decisionmaking.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectivecollaboration with vendors and internal teams.
Requirements
Qualifications Required:
Bachelors degree in SupplyChain Management Business Administration Packaging Engineering or a relatedfield.
Prior Experience Required:
Minimum of 35 years ofexperience in procurement and packaging preferably in the consumer goods orwellness industry.
Experience in developingsupplier relationships and supporting procurement processes is preferred.
