Job Description
How you will make an impact as a Manufacturing Engineer:
- Develop and maintain bill of materials line layout production control methodsclear assembly instructions fixtures and pFMEAs
- Plan conduct and execute preproduction builds with a vision for volume production
- Work collaboratively with engineering team to develop robust productionready designs
- Consult with suppliers to determine product specifications working with supply chain team to purchase equipment materials and parts
- Interface with manufacturing partners for all stages of design transfer to ensure products meet performance criteria delivering a quality product ontime
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and 2 5 years experience preferred or Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and 3 6 years experience preferred. Strong candidates with less experience may be considered
- Understanding of Lean ManufacturingPrinciples Six Sigma or green manufacturing a plus
- Experiencewith CAD software Soilidworks preferred
- Experience with ERP systems a plus
- Medical device experience a plus
- Experience setting up a manufacturing assembly line with scalability to ramp production
- Knowledge of component forming processes assembly processes and production line optimization
- Experience with electromechanical assembly
- Experience with design for manufacturability and design transfer
- Passionate about understanding how things work and solving tough technical problems
- Strong communication and time management skills
