We are looking for a motivated working student to join our small dynamic team of software developers. In this role you will closely interact with team members and developers from other teams focusing on testing our instrument control software. You will perform measurements on a real mass spectrometer either onsite or via remote desktop. We offer the flexibility to work from home.

Responsibilities
- Conducting software tests (e.g. functional integration system and installation tests) with possible focuses on device control and data processing in the life sciences field
- Documenting software tests according to specified guidelines and contributing to the creation of test concepts
- Analyzing software issues in collaboration with software developers and application scientists
- Documenting software issues in the bug tracking tool JIRA
- Verifying corrected software issues and performing regression tests
Qualifications
- Student of computer science or a natural science field (e.g. physics chemistry biology engineering)
- Initial experience in laboratory environments and/or with computerassisted analytical measurement systems (e.g. HPLC GC MS) is advantageous
- Affinity for software topics and scientific questions in the life sciences field
- Strong teamwork skills systematic and wellorganized working style
- Fluent in English written and spoken. Good German skills are a plus
